Fees

Fees for Moncton’s Maritime Psychology Clinic

Psychologists are approved medical practitioners in the province of New Brunswick. You do not need a referral from a doctor to begin services; however, some insurance companies may require such a referral depending on their individual policy.

At Maritime Psychology Clinic, our psychologists set different rates for psychotherapy according to the services being provided, and assessment fees vary slightly according to the nature of the assessment. All clinic fees are determined based on the guidelines recommended by the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick. Please speak directly to your psychologist about his or her fees.

Our services are covered by most insurance companies. Most insurance plans cover partial or entire costs for psychological services. It is recommended that clients call their insurance company in order to clarify what their coverage entails.

Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs)

Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) are employee benefit programs offered by various employers. Mental health services such as assessment, screening, therapy, and referral services are commonly included.

EAPs services cover employees as well their family members. It is recommended that clients contact their human resources department to inquire what type of program their employer offers.

Income Tax Deduction

All fees acquired from a therapy session, assessment, and/or consultations with a psychologist are a medical expense that can be filed as a deduction from your taxable income.

If you have any questions concerning fees or insurance, please contact Maritime Psychology Clinic for more information.
